What a weekend! The Leinster Pickleball Open was everything we hoped for – and more.

Hosted at the stunning David Lloyd Centre in Dublin, players were treated to some of the best indoor court surfaces in the country. Smooth, responsive, and made for pickleball perfection – they were a dream to play on. The buzz around the courts was infectious all weekend, with players cheering each other on, new friendships forged, and a real sense of community in every dink, drive, and drop shot.

As organisers, we at DinkingHub couldn’t be prouder. Events like this don’t happen without collaboration and support. A huge thank you to Pickleball Ireland, our sport’s governing body, for their continued encouragement and guidance as the game grows across the island. We also want to give a special shoutout to the team at Raqt, whose tournament software kept things flowing like clockwork. Their support throughout the weekend made our job infinitely easier and allowed us to focus on what really matters – the players.

And of course, we couldn’t forget our fantastic sponsors. Gamma not only supplied the balls (which held up beautifully through some intense rallies!) but also generously provided prizes for our ever-popular raffle. A big thank you as well to all the other businesses and individuals who donated raffle prizes – you helped bring extra smiles and excitement to the event.

The vibe throughout the weekend was exactly what we hoped to create – competitive but kind, spirited but respectful. It’s events like this that show just how special our pickleball community is in Leinster and beyond.
